Sizzling Hot online fruits slot

Bridging old with new, Sizzling Hot connects today’s slot players with the treasures of the past. Classic slot, cherry slot, fruit slot, no matter what you call them, the online casino world is full of them. I may go as far to say too many of them.

Novomatic introduced Sizzling Hot to add to their already complete library of slots. Primarily designed for mobile gaming, Sizzling Hot is also playable as a flash version on laptops, PCs, and Macs.

With five reels and only five pay lines, you can see how it relates to the classic fruit slots with three reels. Reels filled with all fruit symbols synonymous with fruit slots. Watermelons, cherries, oranges, and more, all help to create the perfect blend of modern and old.

Sizzling Hot is very similar to other slots made by Novomatic like Book of Ra. Sizzling Hot does have fewer lines, but the principles of mixing old and new apply to both.

One of the negatives are the controls to play Sizzling Hot. If you have read other reviews on Novomatic slots, you know I’m not a huge fan of this design. It doesn’t allow you to focus on the reels since the controls need to be opened from a menu. I would still prefer more traditional controls more for the sake of players who are used to that style.

Short game explanation / pros and cons

Short game explanation / pros and cons

Sizzling Hot has no major bonus features such as free spins or wild symbols. Bonuses are not what this slot is meant for. This slot was designed for mobile gaming, and to compete with the popularity of traditional style fruit slots.

The one feature you can look forward to are two bonus symbols.

A star (the scatter) symbol, will be the first symbol. Most scatters will usually trigger a respin. The star in Sizzling hot is only called a scatter to give the appearance of some type of bonus.

The reality is that it does nothing other than act as the 2nd highest paying symbol. The scatter will pay out more than you would expect.

Sizzling Hot Seven symbols are the main symbol you want to see. Sevens pay out the most of any symbol, and if you’re playing anywhere close to the maximum bet, a winning spin of 5 sevens will be enormous, especially considering the tendency for stacked symbols.

I would like to complain about the lack of any true bonus, but I honestly can’t. As I stated before, being feature based is not what Sizzling Hot was meant for. Therefore, there’s no justification for whining about the lack of any bonuses.

In game bonus features

If a special feature is a must for you, perhaps the gamble feature will fill this void.

All Novomatic have this gamble feature that is available after every winning spin. Choosing to play the gamble game will have you select which color the face down Ace will be. Pick between red and black to possibly double up your win.

You can play the gamble feature up to 5 times in a row. However, you must be aware that if you pick the wrong color once, you will lose any winnings from the spin, as well as any amount won playing the gamble feature.

Final Thoughts

Sizzling Hot has filled a niche that many slot enthusiasts enjoy. I find it to be rather exciting with its high betting limits that are tough to find in a slot these days.

If you are weak in the knees or prefer a slot that pays out often but in smaller amounts, this won’t be the slot for you. A high volatile payout structure will have you waiting for winning spins more often than you may be used to.

The tradeoff will be more significant wins when you do create a winning combination.
