“Mermaids Millions has a great design”
Mermaids Millions video slot is one that I am very familiar with. Years ago, when I thought I knew everything and tried to start my own website, Mermaids Millions was one of the very first video slots I reviewed and played. I liked it then and I like it now.
Mermaids Millions is quite unique. The game always stood out to me with its vibrant colors, flashy design massive jackpots that can be won in normal game play. It definitely is one of the more colorful slots out there. Aside from its design, Mermaids Millions is similar to most 5 reel slots.

General Information
Spinning the 5 Reels and playing all 15 pay lines will lead to some exciting spins. There are free spins, bonus rounds and payout multipliers. It has all the bonuses and features we would expect from a top rated slot.

Game Play
Game play is as easy as it gets with this game. It has all the standard buttons like bet max, select lines and so on. There’s also an “Expert” mode which essentially just adds an auto play button where you can play up to 10 spins in a row without having to do anything. In reality, the max 10 game auto play is quite low compared to other slots.

The standard symbols all apply in Mermaids Millions. I really wish someone would come up with a fresh idea to replace the generic 9 through Ace symbols. But, this is how the world of slots works.

King Triton is the wild symbol that pays out the most. Not officially called King Triton, but if I were to own a copyright of this character, I would win a lawsuit against Mermaids Millions in 2 seconds.
Not only is he the wild symbol, he pays out the largest amount. If you get 5 of this symbol, you win the 7,500 coin jackpot.
Scatter
The scatter symbol is the mermaid. She’s pretty, but as well all know beauty can be deceiving.
Three or more of this symbol will trigger the free spins. But, 2 of these will actually pay out at 2 coins. And let me tell you when you get just 2 of her, she literally laughs at you as if to say – “Ha Ha, you didn’t get the free spins!”
I’m not sure if this was intentional by the developers of this game, but there were many times I was cursing this snide little mermaid.
Treasure Bonus
Now that I’ve got that out of my system, let’s talk about the symbol that I love. The treasure chest is the symbol that activates the treasure bonus round. Three or more will activate it, but they must be in a row. They can’t be anywhere on the reels like the scatter.

When you reach the Treasure Bonus, you will be faced with a bunch of shells and old chests. All you do is click on a chest or shell to reveal a coin prize. The number of chests you can pick is determined by the number of Treasure Bonus symbols that triggered the bonus round.

Final thoughts
Other than the mermaid who laughed at me plenty, I love Mermaids Millions. Maybe it’s because I have a close, personal connection with it. Or maybe because it’s just that good. Either way, I would recommend it to anyone, especially beginners. It’s by far one of the easier slots to play, yet has more features than many of these fancy slots you see today.
There’s a reason this slot is still around even after being released almost a decade ago. The old saying “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” applies to Mermaids Millions. It was a great design and it still holds true to its original form.
